Using coupons that you've cut out of newspapers and magazines, you can negotiate price reductions on specific items at your local grocery store. Coupons are money in disguise. It's not as common as it once was, but some stores will even double a coupon's presumptive value. If the clerk acknowledges the coupon, there is a problem with the store's operation.
